Painè surely is one the most active djs and producers in the italian underground club scene, involved since the mid-nineties when starting COMPL8 (spelled complotto) together with Lele Sacchi, a project that lead them to various clubs all over Italy and whose mixed sessions are broadcasted on the national 'Radio Rai 2'.
In 1997 Painè started releasing on TEMPOSPHERE RECORDS (division of the italian jazz label RIGHT TEMPO), kicking off with some tracks on 12" and his debut album 'SIMPLEMENTE ASI' a little later.
Painè's second album "SPONTANEOUS" was released on Temposphere in May 2003 and received positive feedbacks from worldwide djs along reviews on press.
In addition to his solo outputs he set up his "4-to-6 turntables - 3 djs " project I MANIACI DEI DISCHI in 2000 together with Dj Fonx (and later Dj Herrera and bass player Bombo). Up to now 2 highly acclaimed Ep`s have seen the light, the debut album "Hey Presto!" is scheduled for summer 04.

Besides Painè has been working with the vj collective Sun Wu-Kung (now called Grain / Box) since 1999, performing audio-visual live sets and composing soundtracks for short films that have been screened at Sonar Festival (2000-2001), Monter/Sampler Festival (Pompidou, Paris 2000), Netmage (Bologna, 2001-02), Arte TV and Rai Sat TV just to name a few.

Throughout the last years Painè enjoyed playing with the likes of Amon Tobin, Herbaliser, Vadim, Dj Food (Ninja Tune), Quantic (Tru-Thoughts), Kid Loco, Gilles Peterson, Piero Umiliani, Volcov (Archive / Neroli), Simone Serritella (Solaria/Arision), Krust (Full Cycle), Claudio Coccoluto and Jazzanova amongst others.
