Michael Mettke
(Beanfield / Syrup, Compost Records) |

The
young talented keyboard and guitar player had his first
studio job ever on the track "Galicia", the
first Trüby Trio 12". From this time on he became
the secret weapon of the trio. Michael Mettke appeared
playing keyboards on the latest Trüby Trio and Fauna
Flash albums and has been involved in the Syrup project.
Most importantly he´s in Beanfield now, substitute
for Tobias Meggle who decided to leave Beanfield this
year. They´ll come up with a great third album in
March 2004, "Seek". An album where the digital
kisses the analogue. |

Michael Rütten
(Soulpatrol / Infracom, Compost Records) |
 |
 |
| |
|
Every
Thursday from 8-10pm Frankfurt-based Radio X presents
"The Soulpatrol Radioshow" (www.radiox.de/live).
The show quickly achieved global popularity with its guest
mixsets of international Djs and producers such as 4 Hero,
King Britt, High Contrast, Earl Zinger or Terranova. Be
it classic jazz, soul or funk, hi-tech jazz to drum&bass,
downbeat and offbeat to beatbox. Compost´s "Future
Sound Of Jazz 8" had given birth to the producer
duo Soulpatrol which are in fact Michael Rütten and
Soulspy aka Max Schneider. Soulpatrol have manifested
their good reputation especially with the "Love EP
1" on Infracom which had gone straight to the peak
of German Club Charts DCC. Watch out for their first album
which will be released on Compost in 2004. As for Dj sets
Michael is quite busy spinning esp. at his residency "Expansions"
at the Trintaeum in Porto/Portugal. Invitations from Helsinki,
Milan, Cologne, Cannes, Gent or Istanbul followed and
sets at Trüby`s "Rootdown", the "G-Stone
Sessions" of Vienna or Gilles Peterson`s "That´s
How It Is" of London. |
