a compost records labelnight with ...

Fauna Flash, Beanfield,

DJ`s:
Michael Reinboth
(Future Sounds Of Jazz, Compost Records)
Michael Reinboth has been running the regular club night "Into Somethin'" in Munich since 1991; "One of the best club nights in Europe" states The Face. Having spinned records since 1980 his record collection embraces more than 60.000 vinyl. His recent repertoire "Future Sound Of Jazz"-orientated, including all the latest and forthcoming nu-jazz, eclectic records combined with in demand rare items, electro, brazil or surprise tunes.
Jan Krause
(Beanfield / Poets Of Rhythm / Syrup, Compost Records)
Jan Krause, ex-apprentice of Jürgen Koppers (Godfather with Giorgio Moroder, both responsible of the Munich Disco Sound, and producer of Donna Summer a.m.o.), is a sound-engineer and doubles as bass player of the world's most famous rare groove band Poets Of Rhythm and Syrup.

As Beanfield he´s arranged, produced and mixed several albums and 12inches´ for Compost including Four Ears, Knowtoryus, DJ Linus, Kristo, the first A Forest Mighty Black singles, Taran, Moodorama, and many more as well as several remixes for Kruder&Dorfmeister, MC Solaar, Sofa Surfers just to mention a few. With "Seek" Beanfield return with a great third album in March 2004. An album where the digital kisses the analogue.

Christian Prommer / Roland Appel
(Fauna Flash / Trüby Trio, Compost Records)
The guys behind Trüby Trio (along with Rainer Trüby) and Fauna Flash recently teamed up with Peter Kruder for a new studio project on Compost Records by the name of Voom:Voom. Besides having been djing for over 10 years and being a resident in Munich-based clubs such as the Ksar Club, Maiden Voyage, Into Somethin' and Djs for all Compost "Future Sounds Of Jazz" nights, Christian and Roland have also played all over Europe, USA and have their own radio show in Munich playing cool up-front variety set including drum & bass, brazil, future jazz, house, boogie, 2-Step. Excellent drum & bass, jazzy house, boogie, fusion, freestyle and nu jazz. For further info check Fauna Flash bio.
Michael Mettke
(Beanfield / Syrup, Compost Records)
The young talented keyboard and guitar player had his first studio job ever on the track "Galicia", the first Trüby Trio 12". From this time on he became the secret weapon of the trio. Michael Mettke appeared playing keyboards on the latest Trüby Trio and Fauna Flash albums and has been involved in the Syrup project. Most importantly he´s in Beanfield now, substitute for Tobias Meggle who decided to leave Beanfield this year. They´ll come up with a great third album in March 2004, "Seek". An album where the digital kisses the analogue.
Michael Rütten
(Soulpatrol / Infracom, Compost Records)
Every Thursday from 8-10pm Frankfurt-based Radio X presents "The Soulpatrol Radioshow" (www.radiox.de/live). The show quickly achieved global popularity with its guest mixsets of international Djs and producers such as 4 Hero, King Britt, High Contrast, Earl Zinger or Terranova. Be it classic jazz, soul or funk, hi-tech jazz to drum&bass, downbeat and offbeat to beatbox. Compost´s "Future Sound Of Jazz 8" had given birth to the producer duo Soulpatrol which are in fact Michael Rütten and Soulspy aka Max Schneider. Soulpatrol have manifested their good reputation especially with the "Love EP 1" on Infracom which had gone straight to the peak of German Club Charts DCC. Watch out for their first album which will be released on Compost in 2004. As for Dj sets Michael is quite busy spinning esp. at his residency "Expansions" at the Trintaeum in Porto/Portugal. Invitations from Helsinki, Milan, Cologne, Cannes, Gent or Istanbul followed and sets at Trüby`s "Rootdown", the "G-Stone Sessions" of Vienna or Gilles Peterson`s "That´s How It Is" of London.
