 Solar
Moon is a production collective from cologne/germany,
operating both live and studiowise since the mid-nineties.
Widely ranging from dub to deephouse & smooth downbeats
Solar Moon (Tom Dams, Razoof & George Solar) released
their first album entitled "Logbook" on Klaus
Schulzes Rainhorse Label in 2000.
Eversince the boys have been busy producing remixes
for Waldeck, Joi, Trance Groove or legendary german
band "die Dissidenten" as well as working
on side projects such as Karma (Tom Dams together with
Lars Vegas from Groove Attack), Chin Chillaz and Razoof.
Now Solar Moon have put out their second album "Guestbook"
via CKP-Records and as it should be, a proper release
party including liveperformances, dj-sets and visuals
was scheduled for the 20th of November, taking place
inside cologne`s opera-foyer. |

"It took us quite some time
to get back on the Solar Moon drawing board after
"Logbook", mostly because of our sideprojects
that recommended lots of time&energy, too. Having
taken care of the unreleased Solar Moon material in
the meantime it was finally up to me to get everyone
back for some new songs or a finish on the skits we`d
done before", George Solar explains.
Guest Appearances by the likes
of german electonic music pioneer Klaus Schulze
(playing moogs), former Incognito-chanteuse Joy
Malcolm, reggae-vocaltalent Don Abi
or Washington`s Poetry-Activist Jennifer Schwed
amongst others make "Guestbook"
a versatile laidback & dubbed out affair.
"On our second album we worked with both longtime
friends like Don Abi or Klaus Schulze and new faces
such as Jennifer Schwed. She contacted us because
she heard some of our songs and thought that a mix
of poetry & Solar Moon-sound would breed interesting
results - a thing I had thought of before as well
and that turned out to be true "
